Regular physical activity can do wonders for your overall wellbeing. From helping to manage weight and long-term health conditions to supporting better mental health, a stronger heart, more mobility for your day to day life as well as increased muscle flexibility. Being active plays a powerful role in both treatment and an even bigger role in prevention of long term and chronic illnesses. At Kore we put wellness at the centre, working with your local GPs and practices to pave the way to your to an accessible, stress free environment for you to achieve your health and fitness goals.

About the programme

Our Exercise Referral scheme is designed to support people living with a range of health conditions who would benefit from becoming more active in a safe, supportive and welcoming environment. Our programmes are designed to meet you at your current level of fitness, ability and wellbeing.

Delivered in partnership with Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and Public Health England, the programme offers a fantastic opportunity to improve your health, boost your confidence and socialise with other like minded people and the help of qualified staff who truly care.

As part of our tailored 12-week support programme, you’ll receive guidance and encouragement to help you build healthy habits that last. The aim is to help you feel confident managing your condition, health and lifestyle, staying active long after the programme ends.

Who can join the programme?

Our Exercise Referral scheme is open to people living with a wide range of long-term health conditions and not currently a member of any gym. These health conditions include (but aren’t limited to) asthma, arthritis, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity and adult weight management, anxiety, depression, osteoporosis and recovery following Covid-19.

If you're managing one of these conditions and want to take positive steps towards improving your health and wellbeing, we’re here to support you every step of the way. From your initial consultation, introduction to our state of the art facilities all the way through to your graduation of the program.

How to get started

We accept referrals from a number of approved practices and GP's, some of these are listed below. New practices can also sign up to the scheme by emailing our wellness team Wellbeing@korewellness.co.uk

If you think the programme might be right for you, just have a chat with your GP, nurse, physiotherapist, social prescriber or another healthcare professional. If you’re eligible, they can refer you to your nearest centre that offers the scheme.


Please note for our exercise referral program a referral from your current GP or physio is required, so please enquire at your registered surgery. Exercise referral are eligible to a discounted Kore membership.
