WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
A hard working and dedicated person is required to join the Duty Management Team at Tipton Leisure Centre. You will be expected to demonstrate self-motivation, a commitment to the service and your own personal development. You must have a flexible and organised approach to work, and the ability to work as a team member.
Candidates should have at least six months of supervisory experience and facility operations within a sport and recreation setting. They must also demonstrate knowledge of Normal Operating Procedures (NOPs), Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), QUEST standards, and relevant Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH and Manual Handling. Training will be provided where necessary.
Applicants must also hold RLSS [UK] National Pool Lifeguard Award or STA NARS Lifeguard award or equivalent and a valid First Aid at Work certificate.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
In brief, as a valued member of our Management Team, you’ll take the lead in the day-to-day running of the site - supervising and developing staff, ensuring outstanding customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. You’ll manage bookings, support reception, oversee pool and equipment operations, and make sure everything is ready for daily activities. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role, so experience working with the public would be a real advantage.
