Unlike a lot of private clubs, you don't have to be a member of the centre to book a court! 

Padel, a racket sport that combines elements of tennis and squash, is growing rapidly across Europe and is now taking the UK by storm. Played on an enclosed court roughly one-third the size of a tennis court, the sport is easy to learn, highly sociable, and suitable for all ages and skill levels. Padel is a doubles racket sport played on an enclosed court, where the ball can be played off walls, using underhand serves and scoring like tennis.

Over the past decade, padel has seen a surge in popularity, with more than 8 million players in Europe and the UK following suit with a growing network of courts and enthusiasts.

Tipton Sports Academy’s padel courts mark a significant milestone for Sandwell, as these are the first of their kind in the region. The courts form part of our mission to inspire more people to get active, providing accessible and affordable facilities to the community. Detailed information on how to book the courts will be shared in the coming weeks.

The Padel courts  sit alongside four indoor tennis courts, a gym, a sports hall and an athletics track, making this the perfect place for enjoying this fast-growing sport in any weather as well as being a significant hub of health and fitness. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, padel is a fun and social way to stay fit. Come and experience the best in fitness and leisure under one roof!

Padel rackets are available to hire from reception at the time of your booking for £3 per racket.

Padel balls are also available to purchase from reception.

Padel Membership

Take your Padel to the next level with our dedicated Padel Membership on Playtomic. For just £20 a month you’ll enjoy 15 days advance booking to secure your favourite playing times, plus 10% off court fees every time you step on court. It is the perfect way to enjoy more time playing, keep costs down and get the best value from your game. If you are passionate about padel, this membership makes it easier and more affordable to play as often as you like. Simply join through Playtomic and start making the most of the benefits right away.

Our off-peak £55 a month membership entitles members to unlock 15 days advance booking and unlimited off-peak court bookings. Members can have up to 6 live bookings at any time. Free court use is just for members' share of the court (Mon-Fri 9am till 4pm).
